ABOUT DR BARRIE TAN
Dr Barrie Tan is a President’s Scholar and graduated top of his medical school class. An accomplished ENT Surgeon, he was the Head of the ENT Department in Singapore General Hospital from 2013-2019 and brings his immense wealth of surgical and clinical experience to treating each patient individually, taking the time to carefully understand each patient.
Recognised both locally and regionally for his ENT expertise, Dr Barrie Tan was the President of the ASEAN Oto-Rhino-Laryngological Head and Neck Federation from 2019-2021. He was also the President of the Society of Otololaryngology Head & Neck Surgery Singapore from 2017-2019. He is a sought after lecturer and instructor internationally, and has been invited to perform hearing implant surgeries in Vietnam, Bangladesh and Indonesia.
Dr Barrie Tan understands that his patients have entrusted themselves into his good hands --it may be a surgery he has performed many times before, but for that patient, it may be his first or only surgery so far. He brings his kindness to caring for the patient during the whole treatment journey. He is here, fully committed, to walk alongside every patient in their recovery to good health.
